Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Hospitality Management preferred or Associate’s degree required
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of progressive front office management experience in large hotels
- Experience with OnQ property management system preferred
- Ability to lead and manage a team of at least 3 full-time associates
- Must be exempt manager working primarily in administrative, executive or professional tasks
- Ability to use discretion and independent judgement regularly
- Certification to respond to emergencies
- Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Available to participate in Property Manager on Duty program
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Hospitality Management preferred or Associate's degree with relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years of progressive front office management experience in a 500+ room hotel with meeting space preferred
- Experience with OnQ property management system and brand certification preferred
- Previous director-level experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication and customer service skills
- Proven ability to manage teams and improve guest satisfaction
- Proficient in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Ability to respond effectively to emergency situations
Job Duties
- Directs and administers all guest services operations including registration, room inventory management, guest service standards, cost controls and overall profitability
- Provides supervision, professional development, scheduling, counseling, evaluation, recognition and reward for front office associates
- Monitors service and satisfaction trends, evaluates issues and implements improvements
- Initiates and implements marketing and up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and maximize revenue
- Ensures associates have updated knowledge of hotel products, services, facilities, events, pricing, policies, and local area information
- Runs and completes daily reports, analyzes data, and makes informed decisions
- Resolves guest issues and complaints to satisfaction
- Recruits, interviews and trains front office associates
- Participates in the Property Manager on Duty program
- Certified to respond to emergencies including fire panel operation and communication with emergency personnel
- Completes assigned tasks and projects as required
