Job Duties
- Assembles diet trays for residents according to facility procedures matching foods drinks and condiments to diet cards for each resident
- Loads trays onto tray cart for delivery throughout the facility
- Pushes carts weighing up to 30 pounds to dining areas and resident units
- Carries individual trays weighing up to 5 pounds to neighborhood units when necessary
- Respects residents' preferences about personal menu items
- Reports refusal of food served to designated supervisor and to charge nurse to substitute meal can be provided
- Obtains instructions from supervisor and makes substitutes as directed for residents who refuse the meal as served
- Delivers nourishments food supplements and snacks to units as scheduled and or directed
- Maintains food service equipment clean and in proper operating condition according to facility procedures
- Promptly reports all problems including equipment breakdowns to the manager
- Assists with food preparation as assigned
- Operates institutional food preparation equipment according to equipment instructions and or manager's directions
