Job Description
Kentucky Horse Park, located in Lexington, Kentucky, is a renowned 1,224-acre working horse farm, equine theme park, and an internationally recognized equine competition facility. Established in 1978, it is operated by the Commonwealth of Kentucky and garners over one million visitors each year from around the globe. The park is also home to the International Museum of the Horse, a Smithsonian affiliate, offering visitors an immersive equine experience. Aside from its rich equestrian heritage, the park boasts a 260-site campground and regularly hosts numerous equine and non-equine events, making it a diverse and dynamic environment.

Job Requirements
- Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree
- two years of business or administrative experience, one year must have been in scheduling or coordinating shows or events
- must be at least twenty years and one day old at time of employment
- must obtain S.T.A.R. certification within six months of employment
- able to work nights and weekends
- must maintain required licensure, certification, or credentials throughout employment
- ability to handle exposure to dirt and noise
- eligible for overtime pay
- able to physically work at event sites
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent business or administrative experience
- two years of business or administrative experience, with at least one year in scheduling or coordinating events
- proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- strong customer service and conflict resolution skills
- ability to multitask and solve complex problems
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- experience in the horse industry is a plus
Job Duties
- Effectively communicate with current and potential clients regarding event needs
- ensuring client needs are met by coordinating needs with event, food restrictions - caterer, food trucks and other park staff
- physically working events, typically nights and weekends
- create accurate billing information for approval
- coordinate event logistics and resources
- resolve client concerns efficiently
- assist in post-event evaluations and reporting
