Job Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Tribal Work Permit
- Valid driver’s license must be held while operating a tribal vehicle
- Washington State Food Handler Permit within 14 days of start
- Mandatory Alcohol Server Training certification within 90 days of employment
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 65 pounds
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask quickly and accurately
- Adherence to company policies and internal controls
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in event management or equivalent education and experience
- Minimum two years’ experience in banquet, catering, event or hotel sales
- Experience with POS systems preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and related computer applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment
Job Duties
- Ensures compliance with tribal and state gaming compacts and policies
- Takes inquiry calls and conducts property tours
- Drafts and edits proposals for the Special Events Department
- Coordinates tradeshow and promotional materials
- Assists with execution and coordination of special events
- Processes deposits and manages client communications
- Writes banquet event orders and sales forecasts
- Maintains positive guest relations and monitors event satisfaction
- Collaborates with various departments to meet event needs
- Supports sales department with administrative tasks and software usage
