Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
  • Five years' experience in international freight forwarding operations or sales
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Familiarity with ocean, air, warehouse, and surface transportation procedures
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • High standard of performance
  • Demonstrated project or account management skills

Job Duties

  • Manage two or more national accounts with net revenue greater than $500K
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with key customer contacts
  • Ensure account profitability growth by expanding and offering new services
  • Coordinate with sales and operations to set up new accounts and ensure smooth transitions
  • Serve as primary communication link between customers and internal departments
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve customer problems and needs
  • Manage and implement customer satisfaction measures and quality metrics
  • Access expertise to provide advice on government import, export, and logistics requirements
  • Analyze and present data for key performance and service quality indicators
  • Maintain standard operating procedures and prepare quarterly business reviews
  • Generate special reports to meet customer needs
  • Participate in quarterly business review meetings
  • Review letters of credit
  • Monitor and delegate iServe cases
  • Lead EDI implementation and IT projects related to customers
  • Develop new lanes and ensure KPI goals are met
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
