Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of direct sales experience in food and beverage distribution, manufacturing or brokerage
  • Strong negotiation and influential skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication including presentations
  • Basic financial knowledge including P&L
  • Ability to multi-task, solve problems, and troubleshoot
  • Highly self-disciplined and organized
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
  • Serv-safe certification preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to travel up to 75%
  • Must live in greater District of Columbia area or parts of Virginia

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in business management, finance, economics, or marketing
  • Minimum 3 years of direct sales experience in food and beverage distribution, manufacturing, or brokerage
  • Demonstrated negotiation and influential skills
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills including presentations
  • Basic financial acumen including understanding of P&L's
  • Ability in multi-tasking, problem-solving, troubleshooting
  • Exceptionally self-disciplined and organized
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce or similar CRM
  • Serv-safe certification preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand for 6 or more hours
  • Ability to travel up to 75% in greater DC and Virginia area

Job Duties

  • Drive market penetration of assigned operator base holding and driving distribution
  • Achieve individual and market case and financial margin targets through execution of FSD strategies and delivering the Rich Experience
  • Develop annual account plans for local market Top 10 and sales goals with District Manager
  • Utilize system tools such as CRM, SDS, and Blacksmith consistently
  • Aggressively drive distributor access and operator pull-through of new product priorities
  • Support key segments in the market
  • Achieve volume and margin plans through base solidification, strategic category, and RONA/GM capture
  • Build and coordinate execution of individual market plans and quarterly governance structures
  • Support FSD intelligence capture initiatives
  • Establish effective relationships with key distributors including training, sales meetings, business reviews
  • Responsible for sales deal entry and serve as liaison between customer order process and WHQ support teams
