Job Description

Churchill Downs Racetrack, located in Louisville, KY, is one of the most iconic horse racing venues in the world. Established in 1875, it is famously known as the home of the Kentucky Derby, which is the longest continually held annual sporting event in the United States. Spanning 175 acres, the racetrack features a one-mile dirt racing surface and a 7/8-mile turf track, with ample seating for approximately 60,000 guests. Job Requirements

  • Must be available for required training and event dates including March 28th or April 11th, April 25th, May 1st, and May 2nd, 2026
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and physically tour guests around the property
  • Must lift and/or move up to 10 pounds occasionally
  • Compliance with Churchill Downs uniform and dress code policies
  • Completion of KHRGC (Racing) license registration during training
  • Must maintain discretion with sensitive guest information
  • Must work well in a moderately noisy environment
  • Must not have supervisory responsibilities
  • Must be available for all shift requirements
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and professional

  • Ability to walk long distances and stand for extended periods
  • Authorized to work legally in the United States

Job Duties

  • Greet and escort VIP guests from the gate to their dining location
  • Acquaint guests with their area and race day activations and serve as their point of contact throughout the race day
  • Assist manager and fellow concierges with room tasks including administrative duties, stockroom checks, distributing materials, operating welcome checkpoint stations, and supporting Sales and Ticket Operations
  • Lead short tours around the property or escort guests to other accessible areas
  • Relay guest feedback to manager and fellow concierges using established protocols
  • Anticipate and efficiently handle customer service requests
  • Work collaboratively with manager and team to troubleshoot and resolve guest issues tactfully
  • Present oneself in a polished, courteous manner
  • Abide by the uniform policy and dress code
  • Exhibit discretion when handling guests' personal information
