Job Requirements

  • obtain and maintain current food-handlers card
  • previous supervisory experience preferred but not required
  • available to work full time with a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to lift and carry heavy objects
  • ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive movements
  • value diversity and work well with individuals from different backgrounds
  • remain calm in high volume, deadline-oriented environments
  • work safely with sharp objects and cleaning chemicals

Job Qualifications

  • excellent knowledge of food and cooking techniques
  • ability to perform opening and closing kitchen duties

  • ability to train and mentor kitchen staff

  • ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • assist in all kitchen operations under the guidance of the chef or manager
  • perform responsibilities of non-management positions including line cook duties
  • complete all opening and closing kitchen duties
  • act as host to oversee smooth operation of the shift
  • maintain excellent customer relations and provide excellent customer service
  • regulate labor and food costs
  • oversee side work and cleaning duties
  • train kitchen staff
  • perform administrative duties as assigned
  • effectively deal with issues as they arise and report them to management
  • ensure safety and compliance with company policies
