Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment preferred
  • ability to follow detailed sanitation and safety instructions
  • physical ability to perform repetitive tasks involving bending, lifting, and standing for long periods
  • must be dependable and punctual
  • willing to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • effective communication skills in English

Job Qualifications

  • Can physically stand and walk 100 percent of shift
  • can reach, bend, stoop
  • can immerse hands in water frequently diluted with chemical solutions
  • ability to speak, read and write English
  • able to lift up to 50 lbs. several times per shift
  • able to lift heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers
  • able to work in damp, high temperature environments indoors and minimally outdoors
  • able to work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
  • able to work safely with sharp knives and utensils
  • able to support fellow employees as needed
  • able to complete and pass food safety certification program in compliance with Flanigan's and Florida statutes

Job Duties

  • Following all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
  • washing and providing clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan's sanitation policies
  • cleaning and sanitizing throughout shift
  • maintaining kitchen area cleanliness including sweeping, mopping, and removing debris from floors
  • performing assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, and beautification duties
  • preparing and maintaining dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing
