Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment preferred
- ability to follow detailed sanitation and safety instructions
- physical ability to perform repetitive tasks involving bending, lifting, and standing for long periods
- must be dependable and punctual
- willing to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- effective communication skills in English
Job Qualifications
- Can physically stand and walk 100 percent of shift
- can reach, bend, stoop
- can immerse hands in water frequently diluted with chemical solutions
- ability to speak, read and write English
- able to lift up to 50 lbs. several times per shift
- able to lift heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers
- able to work in damp, high temperature environments indoors and minimally outdoors
- able to work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
- able to work safely with sharp knives and utensils
- able to support fellow employees as needed
- able to complete and pass food safety certification program in compliance with Flanigan's and Florida statutes
Job Duties
- Following all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
- washing and providing clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan's sanitation policies
- cleaning and sanitizing throughout shift
- maintaining kitchen area cleanliness including sweeping, mopping, and removing debris from floors
- performing assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, and beautification duties
- preparing and maintaining dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing
