The Kuwait KC-130J Program represents a critical initiative in supporting the operational readiness and maintenance of the KC-130J aircraft fleet. Job Requirements
- Must be United States (U.S.) citizen
- Be able to read, write, and understand the English language
- Must be able to obtain a United States Passport
- Passport must have at least 24 months of time remaining before expiration if currently possessed
- Must have a valid U.S. Driver’s License
- Must be willing to follow Kuwait Labor Law policies and comply with all Kuwaiti Labor and Immigration requirements
- Must be willing to administrate, maintain, and manage maintenance programs such as Tool Control, HAZMAT, FOD, MetCal as required by local policies
- Must be willing and able to comply with all contractual Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements, assist the KC-130J maintenance team during general maintenance evolutions such as towing, jacking, aircraft mission configuration
- Must be willing and able to deploy off-site as required to support Kuwait Air Force operations
- Must be willing to work flexible hours including day, night, weekend shifts, and travel as part of a maintenance recovery team
- Must have the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and follow instructions
- Must have skills and aptitude to cross train and support KC-130J supply technicians in management of daily operations and execution of tasks in support of the Supply Resource Centre
- Must be willing and able to cover for supply team members during periods of non-availability or large parts deliveries
- Must ensure required tools and related equipment are serviceable and available for mission capable aircraft
- Must have proven ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Must be dependable and timely in managing assigned tasks and performing consistent quality maintenance
- Must be able to overcome cultural differences and think innovatively to solve complex problems associated with international contracting and desert climate operations
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Four years’ experience in tool room inventory control preferred
- Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) 4790.2 or equivalent experience with Air Force Instruction 21-101 preferred
- Must have a working knowledge of first aid procedures to be used in an emergency
- Must have a strong knowledge base of aviation maintenance programs, processes, and procedures such as Safety, Tool Control, HAZMAT, inspection programs, administrative requirements, support equipment, calibration/torque programs and procedures
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to create and modify briefs, spreadsheets, and formal requests and documentation
- Must have a working knowledge of and be proficient with input and extract data of computers and maintenance information systems
- Must have in-depth knowledge of aircraft technical orders, job guides, publications, schematic diagrams, drawings, charts, and technical publications
- Must have in-depth knowledge of flight line operations including aircraft and vehicle movement safety and hazards
Job Duties
- Participates as a member of field team in formulating and establishing organizational policies and operating procedures for the program
- Implements, coordinates, and manages all aspects of tool and specific support equipment administrative support programs
- Coordinates with Calibration Lab personnel to facilitate the calibration of all due items, including expedited services, drop-off, and pick up of gear
- Evaluates and develops improved techniques for tracking and monitoring detailed inventory and inspection due dates for all tools utilized within the program
- Maintains spreadsheets and tracking logs of tools, specific support equipment, and materials as they are issued and follows up to ensure all items are accounted for and serviceable upon return
- Audits, identifies discrepancies, and applies corrective actions to all aspects of the Tool Control Program, including aircraft tool boxes and tools maintained by various supporting work centers
- Coordinates with supporting agencies to obtain required materials, tools, repairs, and services to ensure tool requirements are met
