Job Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain tribal gaming license
  • valid health card
  • hepatitis A vaccination
  • mandatory alcohol server training (MAST) certification
  • available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • favorable background investigation outcome
  • willingness to work in fast-paced environment
  • physical ability to lift or move up to 65 pounds
  • excellent verbal communication skills
  • ability to work as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • one to three months experience or training helpful
  • experience in waiting tables preferred
  • excellent customer relations and service skills
  • ability to handle cash and provide proper change
  • skill in problem identification and resolution under pressure
  • ability to learn and operate POS system

Job Duties

  • Ensure compliance with tribal and state regulations and KGCC policies
  • use the POS system as trained
  • greet guests in a friendly and upbeat manner
  • explain daily specials and recommend appealing items
  • take beverage and food orders following proper sequence
  • serve food with women served first
  • clear dishes and glassware politely
  • present guest checks and explain payment process
  • collect payments and give change
  • provide constant attentive and friendly service
  • educate guests about specials and answer questions
  • be knowledgeable about wine and provide pairing information
  • communicate guest questions to supervisor promptly
  • keep payments orderly
  • sell and refill beverages including alcohol
  • maintain assigned sections and workstations
  • assist other servers to ensure teamwork
  • complete side work to maintain cleanliness and supply levels
  • maintain a clean, stocked server station
  • perform necessary paper and bookkeeping at shift end
  • relay guest feedback to shift supervisor
  • maintain confidential tip records
  • attend all training meetings
  • assist in other projects as directed
  • may serve as panelist for internal review board hearings
  • adhere to changing job duties as needed
