Job Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming License
- valid health card
- hepatitis A vaccination
- mandatory alcohol server training (MAST) certification
- available and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays
- employment contingent upon favorable background investigation outcome
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree preferred
- one to three months related experience and/or training helpful
- experience working as a waiter or waitress preferred
- excellent customer relations and customer service skills
- ability to handle cash and give proper change
- skill in identifying and resolving problems under pressure
- ability to learn and operate the POS system
Job Duties
- Ensure compliance with Kalispel Tribe of Indians Washington State regulations and Kalispel Golf & Country Club policies and procedures
- use the POS system as trained
- greet guests in a Kalispel friendly manner with a smile and upbeat attitude
- explain daily specials in detail and recommend appealing items
- take beverage orders and deliver while guests review menus
- take food orders by proper seat number sequence
- serve orders with women served first
- clear all dishes and glassware politely
- present guest check and explain the process
- collect payment and provide change
- provide constant, attentive and friendly service
- educate guests about daily specials
- be knowledgeable about wine and answer wine pairing questions
- communicate with supervisor to resolve guest questions
- keep payments neat and orderly
- sell and refill beverages including alcohol
- maintain assigned sections and workstations
- assist other servers to ensure teamwork
- complete side work timely and satisfactorily
- maintain a clean and stocked server station
- perform necessary paper and bookwork at shift end
- relay complaints, problems or positive remarks to shift supervisor
- maintain confidential daily tip record
- attend all training meetings
- assist in other projects as directed
- may serve as panelist for internal review board hearings
