Job Requirements

Ability to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming License
Valid health card
Hepatitis A vaccination
Mandatory Alcohol Server Training (MAST) certification
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Successful completion of background investigation
Ability to lift or move items up to 65 pounds
Effective oral communication skills
Manual dexterity for repetitive hand and wrist movements
Physical ability to stand, walk, ascend/descend stairs
Capability to perform vision tasks including close and distance vision

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred
One to three months of related experience or training preferred
Experience as a waiter or waitress preferred
Excellent customer service and relations skills
Ability to handle cash and provide correct change
Skilled in resolving problems under pressure
Ability to learn and operate POS systems
Knowledge of wine and beverage service

Job Duties

Ensure compliance with Kalispel Tribe of Indians and Washington State regulations and KGCC policies
Use the POS system as trained
Greet guests warmly with a friendly attitude
Explain daily specials and recommend appealing items
Take beverage and food orders in the proper sequence
Serve food and beverages, serving women first
Clear dishes and glassware politely
Present and explain guest checks
Collect payment and provide change
Maintain constant, attentive, and friendly service
Educate guests about specials and answer questions
Be knowledgeable about wine and wine pairing
Communicate guest questions or issues to supervisors
Maintain orderly payments and transactions
Sell and refill beverages including alcoholic drinks
Maintain assigned sections and clean workstations
Complete side work and restock server stations
Perform necessary paperwork
Relay complaints, problems, or positive feedback to supervisors
Keep confidential records of tips
Attend training meetings
Assist in projects as directed
May participate in Internal Review Board Hearings
Adapt to changing duties and requirements as needed
