Job Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain Tribal Gaming License
- Valid health card
- Hepatitis A vaccination
- Mandatory Alcohol Server Training certification
- Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Employment contingent on favorable background investigation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- One to three months related experience or training helpful
- Experience as waiter or waitress preferred
- Excellent customer relations and service skills
- Ability to handle cash and provide correct change
- Skill in identifying and solving problems under pressure
- Ability to learn and operate POS system
- Knowledge about wine and pairings beneficial
Job Duties
- Ensure compliance with Kalispel Tribe of Indians regulations and KGCC policies
- Use the POS system as trained
- Greet guests warmly with a friendly attitude
- Explain menu specials and recommend appealing items
- Take beverage and food orders in proper sequence
- Serve food and beverages, serving women first
- Clear dishes and glassware politely
- Present guest checks and handle payments
- Provide constant attentive and friendly service
- Educate guests about specials and answer questions
- Be knowledgeable about wine and wine pairing
- Communicate with supervisor to resolve guest issues
- Maintain orderly payments throughout shift
- Sell and refill beverages including alcoholic drinks
- Maintain clean and stocked workstations
- Assist other servers and complete side work timely
- Perform necessary paperwork
- Relay guest feedback to supervisors
- Maintain confidential records of tips
- Attend all training meetings
- Assist in other projects as directed
- Possibly serve as panelist for internal review board hearings
