Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • related experience is preferred
  • serve safe certification is preferred
  • ability to stand in hot places all day long
  • weekend availability
  • ability to work swiftly and efficiently
  • knowledge of baking equipment and ingredients

Job Qualifications

  • previous culinary experience
  • solid display of safe handling knife skills
  • ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • knowledge of different baking equipment and ingredients
  • ability to work well in a group
  • good sense of taste and smell
  • ability to remain balanced under pressure

Job Duties

  • measure and mix ingredients such as flour, flavorings, and fruit to create pastries
  • cut and decorate pastries and tortes with icing designs using various tools
  • continuously create new pastry designs and recipes
  • clean and sanitize the shop, work stations, and equipment
  • understand orders clearly and execute tasks efficiently
  • attend departmental meetings and follow handbook policies
  • deliver high quality work and maintain guest service standards
