- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
- Familiarity with cargo handling and logistics
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work in extreme weather and remote locations
- Willingness to work variable shifts including night and weekend shifts
- Must comply with FAA regulations and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong background in cargo handling or logistics
- Experience with weight and balance calculations preferred
- Ability to operate forklifts and ground loading equipment
- Strong physical fitness and stamina
- Attention to detail and safety orientation
- Ability to work variable schedules including nights, weekends, and on-call periods
Job Duties
- Calculate and verify weight and balance calculations for aircraft
- Load and secure cargo according to FAA regulations and company policies
- Supervise and physically participate in loading and unloading operations
- Complete and sign weight and balance documentation for flight safety
- Monitor cargo hold during flight to ensure no shifts or issues
- Operate or direct ground equipment such as forklifts and K-loaders
- Manage cargo operations in remote and challenging weather conditions
