Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in cargo handling, logistics, or related field preferred
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
  • Strong mathematical skills for weight and balance calculations
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
  • Willingness to work variable schedules including nights, weekends, and on-call
  • Must pass background check and drug screening

Job Qualifications

  • Strong background in cargo handling or logistics
  • Familiarity with weight and balance concepts
  • Ability to operate ground equipment such as forklifts
  • Excellent physical fitness for demanding labor
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work variable shifts including nights and weekends

Job Duties

  • Calculate aircraft weight and balance according to FAA regulations
  • Load and secure cargo safely using straps, nets, and shoring
  • Operate or direct operation of ground equipment including forklifts and loaders
  • Inspect cargo for damage and hazardous materials
  • Complete and sign off on required load documentation
  • Monitor cargo hold during flight to ensure safety of freight
  • Manage offloading process at remote destinations
