Job Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of weight and balance concepts preferred
  • Willingness to work variable and on-call shifts
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in cargo handling, logistics, or weight and balance calculation preferred
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and securing freight
  • Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and on-call
  • Safety-focused mindset with adherence to FAA regulations
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Ensure safe and efficient loading and securing of cargo
  • Calculate and verify aircraft weight and balance
  • Sign off on weight and balance documents for flight authorization
  • Operate ground equipment such as forklifts and K-loaders
  • Inspect cargo including hazardous materials for compliance
  • Supervise cargo build-up and pallet assembly
  • Monitor cargo stability during flight and manage offloading operations in remote locations
