Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- willingness to travel to remote locations
- physical ability to perform demanding labor
- valid forklift operation certification is a plus
- must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- good communication skills
Job Qualifications
- strong background in cargo handling or logistics
- understanding of weight and balance principles
- ability to work variable schedules including nights and weekends
- physical strength and stamina
- focus on safety and attention to detail
- no experience as loadmaster required as training is provided
- good mathematical skills
Job Duties
- calculate and verify aircraft weight and balance
- supervise loading and securing of cargo
- inspect cargo for damages and hazardous materials
- operate or direct the use of forklifts and loading equipment
- complete and sign off on weight and balance documentation
- monitor cargo hold during flights
- manage cargo unloading in remote locations
