Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Work directly with Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef on menu development and engineering
  • review menus and analyze recipes
  • determine food, labor, and overhead costs
  • note utilization of food surpluses and leftovers
  • familiarize newly hired cooks
  • supervise cooking and kitchen personnel and coordinate their assignments
  • provide hands-on support
  • resolve customer concerns
  • represent company in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner
  • maintain professional appearance
  • participate in industry-related meetings and team meetings
  • coordinate prep lists and production sheets
  • ensure recipe adherence and suggest adjustments
  • manage leftovers, storage, and cooler organization
  • communicate daily with Executive Sous Chef and Executive Chef
  • communicate effectively with sous chefs, supervisors, and managers
  • report equipment work order, repair, or ordering needs
  • ensure quality and consistent product
  • pay attention to details
  • maintain menu and recipe knowledge
  • make quick decisions
  • multitask effectively
  • assist with catering events
  • perform other assigned duties
