  • ability to follow standardized recipes and procedures

  • knowledge of cost control principles
  • experience working in a hotel kitchen environment preferred

Job Duties

  • preparation of all pastry products as trained in accordance to pastry shop standards
  • assists higher level bakers
  • other duties as assigned by chef
  • practice the importance of producing a consistent, quality product that meets and exceeds the guests' needs in a timely manner
  • assumes department responsibilities when capable
  • maintains basic understanding of kitchen operation within the hotel
  • applies culinary education, cost control, basic communication and leadership skills
  • utilizes computer skills as required
