Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum four years of culinary experience
  • prior experience in pastry preparation preferred
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • basic computer skills
  • ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • willingness to work flexible hours
  • ability to follow safety and hygiene standards
  • team player attitude

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge and skills in kitchen operations
  • possess strong leadership, communication, organization and relationship skills
  • a true desire to exceed guest expectations in a fast paced customer service environment
  • capable of producing a consistent product in a timely manner
  • strong training and communication skills
  • four years minimal culinary experience
  • kitchen supervisor experience preferred
  • ability to stand and walk for a minimum of eight hours

Job Duties

  • Prepare all pastry products as trained in accordance to pastry shop standards
  • assist higher level bakers
  • perform other duties as assigned by chef
  • maintain consistent quality product that meets and exceeds guest needs
  • practice basic kitchen operations within the hotel
  • contribute to department training
  • assume department responsibilities as needed
