Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of banquet culinary experience
  • Prior hotel kitchen experience required
  • Ability to work full-time with flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Strong leadership presence
  • Must be able to spend majority of time on kitchen floor
  • Ability to comply with health and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience as a Lead Cook in high-volume banquet operations
  • Prior experience working in hotel kitchens
  • Strong culinary skills with creativity in menu development
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities
  • Knowledge of health and safety sanitation standards
  • Ability to supervise and train staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Assist the Chef de Cuisine in directing and overseeing all culinary operations
  • Prepare and produce hotel meals ensuring food quality and presentation standards
  • Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations
  • Lead and supervise banquet culinary team, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation
  • Create and implement menu selections for special banquet events in collaboration with executive leadership
  • Manage cost controls to maximize profitability
  • Maintain high standards of team member productivity and motivation
