Job Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a junior sous chef or higher
  • Excellent communication skills in the English language both written and verbal
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and or 20 pounds of force frequently
  • Ability to maintain and follow recipes processes and standards
  • Drive and ambition with a desire to learn and grow within the team
  • Full ownership of your role
  • Possession of valid Food Handler Card
  • Valid documentation of your right to work in the U.S

Job Duties

  • Execute dishes to SUSHI SAMBA standards timely and efficiently to meet and exceed guest expectations
  • Supervise the production of all food items
  • Maintain standards of hygiene and safety throughout the kitchen
  • Ensure customer satisfaction comply with company procedures and maximize productivity and profitability
  • Set standards and maintain food presentation and quality at all times
  • Ensure that recipe standards are followed at all times
  • Liaise with restaurant manager and service staff regarding service issues
