Job Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a junior sous chef or higher
  • excellent communication skills in the English language both written and verbal
  • the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds of force frequently
  • the ability to maintain and follow recipes processes and standards
  • drive and ambition with a desire to learn and grow within the team
  • full ownership of your role
  • possession of valid food handler card
  • valid documentation of your right to work in the U.S.

Job Duties

  • Execute dishes to SUSHI SAMBA standards timely and efficiently to meet and exceed guest expectations
  • supervise the production of all food items
  • maintain standards of hygiene and safety throughout the kitchen
  • ensure customer satisfaction comply with company procedures and maximize productivity and profitability
  • set standards and maintain food presentation and quality at all times
  • ensure that recipe standards are followed at all times
  • liaise with restaurant manager and service staff regarding service issues
