Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Preferred vocational, technical or business certification
- Minimum of four years’ experience in large hotel or similar casino operation
- Ability to lead kitchen staff
- Must obtain and maintain a food handlers card
- Must obtain and maintain ServSafe certification
- May be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license
- No driving responsibilities
- Ability to perform basic math operations
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
- Must work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally
- Commitment to neat and professional appearance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Vocational, technical, or business certification in a related field preferred
- Minimum of four years experience in large hotel or similar casino operation preferred
- Demonstrated experience leading larger staff groups preferred
- Advanced knowledge of single unit culinary operations
- Ability to handle high volume a la carte, catering, and banquet production
- Advanced skills in hands-on training
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation and presentation
- Ability to read recipes, production lists, and related paperwork
- English proficiency
- Basic math skills
- Friendly and efficient customer service skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
Job Duties
- Maintains recipe adherence including flavor profiles, consistency, quality, appearance, and production timeframes
- Assists with food inventory tracking and logistics
- Delegates tasks to kitchen team members to ensure effective delivery
- Ensures compliance with Health Department, Gaming Commission, FDA, OSHA, and Indian Health Service regulations
- Completes necessary paperwork including logs and requisitions
- Controls purchasing of food products and kitchen equipment
- Communicates shift information and assists with special projects as directed
