Job Requirements
- Applicable state and local food safety certification or license
- Ability to continuously lift a minimum of 50 lbs several times per day
- Ability to push wheeled machines weighing 50-600 lbs to and from sales floor
- Experience using produce, machinery and sharp utensils for food preparation
- Capacity to stand for extended periods
- Flexibility to work varied hours
- Ability to climb using a 6' step stool
- Visual ability to read instructions for safety and compliance
- Ability to work in cold, refrigerated conditions and near hot equipment
- Physical ability to sit, stand, talk, hear, and use hands for computer operation
- Effective listening and understanding of spoken information
- Strong reading and writing communication skills
- Ability to interact with customers and understand speech
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in product marketing, product demonstrations, or food, beverage or restaurant industry preferred
- Ability to safely and effectively prepare juice or other specialty products
- Ability to conduct demonstration and sampling events of other products as needed
- Applicable state and local food safety certification or license
Job Duties
- Properly set up and prepare the area for specialized food products
- Fully read materials accompanying product demonstrations to understand scope, instructions, production requirements and compliance
- Follow all safety requirements when using equipment such as hot machinery or sharp blades
- Practice proper lifting techniques when handling boxes or heavy merchandise
- Adhere to safe food handling tasks including preparation, packaging, labeling, merchandising and disposal
- Accurately complete all reporting requirements including online submissions
- Regularly check product event schedules, emails for updates, event changes and supervisor requests
- Complete certifications and attend mandatory training sessions
- Follow safety and compliance guidelines for operation, cleaning and maintenance of machines
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe work area using proper cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Assist teammates with event set-up, clean-up and kitchen duties when needed
- Conduct food sampling and demonstrations according to business needs and follow set-up and teardown guidelines
