Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years culinary experience in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar supervisor role managing staff
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED
  • Ability to maintain health and alcohol regulatory requirements
  • Ability to obtain nationally recognized sanitation certification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and long hours
  • Proficient with computer software such as MS Office
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and be self-directed

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years culinary experience in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar supervisory position managing team members
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED
  • Prior culinary education preferred but not required
  • Ability to meet health department and alcohol regulations
  • Proficient in food preparation methods
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Effective in staff training, evaluation, and motivation
  • Skilled in problem solving and decision making
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to obtain nationally recognized sanitation training

Job Duties

  • Assist Executive Chef with kitchen record keeping and administrative duties including food inventories and ordering
  • Organize employee work schedules ensuring appropriate coverage
  • Assist in completion of employee schedules and attendance documentation
  • Provide ongoing assistance, training, and mentoring to kitchen staff
  • Promote a positive and cooperative workplace environment
  • Ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to recipe specifications during food production
  • Monitor food appearance, temperature, sanitation, and quality standards
  • Maintain workplace safety, sanitation, and health standards
  • Support Executive Chef in planning and execution of events
  • Assist in inventory control and menu planning
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Chef
