Job Requirements

  • 5 years experience in restaurants, hotels or related food service operations
  • 1+ years fine dining or country club experience preferred
  • Preferred catering experience
  • AOS Culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • Current Food Handlers Permit
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and kitchen equipment
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly and occasionally 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat and stretch frequently
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive attitude towards change and learning
  • Professional demeanor and discretion
  • Ability to work full time Monday to Friday, 6:30 am to 2:30 pm with flexibility
  • Ability to maintain high cleanliness and hygiene standards

Job Qualifications

  • AOS Culinary degree or 5 years of relevant culinary experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience in restaurants, hotels or related food service operations
  • Preferred 1+ years fine dining, country club, or similar caliber experience
  • Preferred catering experience
  • Current Food Handlers Permit
  • Proficient with kitchen equipment and Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook and Word
  • Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service and leadership potential
  • Ability to work productively in a fast-paced environment with multiple orders and timelines
  • Adaptable and open to learning and problem-solving

Job Duties

  • Maintain high culinary standards for cafe dining, board meals, and future off-premises outlets
  • Ensure high caliber guest service during each interaction with guests, vendors, team members, and visitors
  • Plan and produce all food at assigned station ensuring quality and timely production
  • Continuously learn new techniques and recipes as well as train less skilled cooks
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene at the station and kitchen, report concerns promptly
  • Comply with health department regulations and company guest service standards
  • Participate in food and beverage meetings and staff development programs
