Job Requirements
- active management level food handlers certification (ServSafe) and adherence to local food handler requirements
- consistently perform duties responsibly and efficiently
- authorized to work in the U.S.
- ability to work in fast paced, high noise level kitchen environment
- physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs with assistance over 40 lbs
- ability to stand, walk, bend, and twist frequently
- good or corrected vision
- ability to handle exposure to chemicals and food allergens
- high sense of urgency
- professional appearance at all times
Job Qualifications
- culinary degree preferred but not required
- exemplary attendance, safety, and performance record
- 3-5 years kitchen management experience in full service moderate to high volume restaurant or equivalent
- excellent verbal communication skills
- strong culinary skills
- leadership abilities
- ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
- organizational skills
- strong interpersonal skills
- ability to safely handle kitchen equipment
- knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures
- ability to work effectively with union employees and collaborate with union representatives
- bilingual in Spanish a plus
- ability to lead by example
- strong ability to influence and drive positive change
Job Duties

- maintain safe working environment using proper food safety guidelines
- develop and maintain employee engagement programs based on core values
- partner with upper management and HR on corrective actions and employee issues

- follow standard operating procedures
- manage staff scheduling and performance
- communicate job expectations and conduct employee coaching and discipline
- improve customer experience continuously
- build mutual trust and cooperation among team members
- work well under pressure in fast-paced environment

- manage production according to recipes and directions
- set, manage, and follow up on prep and production goals

- oversee food procurement, production, and service including inventory and ordering
- conduct daily line checks and food reviews

- prepare food consistently adhering to standards
- interview new team members with cultural fit consideration
