Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • at least 5 years of culinary experience
  • Manager ServSafe certification
  • proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Micros POS
  • ability to understand and write English
  • strong leadership ability
  • experience in staff supervision and kitchen management
  • knowledge of food safety standards
  • good communication skills

  • must be Manager ServSafe certified
  • high school diploma or GED
  • at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
  • completed degree(s) from an accredited institution can substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis

Job Duties

  • Supervise performance of kitchen staff to ensure proper activity
  • ensure effective inventory, stock purchase, and storage
  • perform administrative tasks as communicated by superiors
  • ensure standards are adhered to in food production and preparation including quality, quantity, and safety
  • work towards exceeding customer expectations by promoting high-level service
  • respond to complaints, inquiries, and suggestions by customers accordingly
  • provide support and guidance to kitchen members when needed
  • assist with staff disputes and report unresolved issues
  • promote good team spirit regularly
  • assist in recruiting, hiring, and training employee cooks
  • respond to complaints to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests
  • assist in development and training of department staff
  • ensure working areas are clean and sanitary
  • report need for maintenance
  • ensure a safe working environment to reduce injury risk
  • complete accident reports promptly
  • establish and maintain positive culture with line staff and departments
  • ensure quality daily pre-shift meetings are held
