Job Requirements
- must be respectful of others and adept at respectful delegation of tasks
- must be familiar with the Boston area and ideally with driving through Boston
- must be able to lift at least 50 lbs and stand for long periods
- must be knowledgeable of common allergens, cooking techniques, and high-end execution
- must be able to work on a boat at cruising speed or in other non-traditional kitchens
- must be flexible and able to adapt as the situation calls for
- must be consistently punctual and communicative
Job Qualifications
- experience in catering or leading culinary teams
- strong knowledge of cooking techniques and high-end food execution
- familiarity with common allergens and food safety practices
- good attitude and leadership skills
- effective communication and punctuality
- ability to work in non-traditional kitchen environments such as boats
- knowledge of the Boston area
- ability to lift at least 50 lbs and stand for long periods
Job Duties
- arrive at the commissary to pick up front of house and back of house equipment for events
- review menus with the Head Chef by phone if necessary
- drive company vehicle to event locations including boats and other venues
- lead and manage a catering team of chefs and servers
- prepare and execute appetizers, dinner, and dessert menus
- ensure timely and high-quality food service during the event
- drive the vehicle back to the commissary after the event
