Job Qualifications
- Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in behavioral sciences public or business administration or related field
- Two years of recent related experience or equivalent specialized experience
- Ability to advise students individually and in groups
- Knowledge of budgeting fiscal management and reporting
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with computer applications including word processing spreadsheets and databases
- Ability to work with diverse populations and maintain confidentiality
- Demonstrated customer service experience with professionalism and diplomacy
- Knowledge of student development principles
- Ability to interpret and apply university policies and procedures
- Ability to plan and coordinate student programs and activities
Job Duties
- Advise student leaders in planning events setting goals and developing leadership skills
- Provide individual and group advisement on time management student advocacy and university procedures
- Assist in developing and organizing ASI orientations retreats and board activities
- Monitor and review the ASI budget supporting students in financial procedures
- Coordinate ASI programs including logistics scheduling and assessment
- Serve as a representative on campus event committees facilitating collaboration
- Manage ASI social media and assist with promotional efforts
