Job Requirements

  • Must have one or more years of jewelry industry experience
  • Must have one or more years of experience with custom jobs
  • Must have a basic understanding of placing CAD requests with designers and vendors and knowledge of reading CAD to get costs for pieces
  • Must be able to pass knowledge assessment during the interview process
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledgeable in Excel
  • Knowledgeable in Photoshop
  • Ability to work well with a team of diverse personalities
  • Knowledge of jewelry manufacturing is a plus
  • Must be able to travel to shows a minimum of three times per year
  • Must live in the New York Tri-State area

Job Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience in the jewelry industry
  • One or more years of experience handling custom job orders
  • Basic understanding of placing CAD requests with designers and vendors
  • Ability to read CAD designs to determine costs
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Proficiency in Photoshop
  • Ability to work well with diverse team members
  • Knowledge of jewelry manufacturing processes is a plus

Job Duties

  • Submit and verify custom orders with vendors within specified time frames
  • Oversee the special and custom order process from start to finish
  • Calculate and quote prices for custom jewelry pieces
  • Communicate regularly with vendors and customers to provide updates and resolve issues
  • Check the status of custom orders and maintain quoted timeframes
  • Handle potential order issues proactively
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of custom order processes
