- advanced cardiac life support certification
- pediatric advanced life support certification
- pre-hospital trauma life support certification within 6 months of hire
- advanced trauma life support or equivalent trauma certification within 6 months of employment
- advanced stroke life support certification within 6 months of employment
- advanced burn life support certification within 6 months of employment
- Delaware paramedic certification within 6 months of employment
- flight paramedic certification or critical care paramedic certification within 2 years
- FP-C certification within 6 months of flight orientation
- mobile intensive care paramedic NJ certification within 6 months of employment
- air crew member-flight paramedic certification for flight providers
Job Qualifications
- three years of field paramedic experience with a minimum of 5000 hours in critical care transport or 911 ALS ambulance service
- proficiency in advanced life support skills such as intubation, IV insertion, medication administration, EKG interpretation, and chest decompression
- current medical command in good standing with relevant regional EMS office
- Pennsylvania paramedic certification (EMT-P)
- national registered paramedic
- basic life support (BLS)
- advanced cardiac life support (ACLS)
- pediatric advanced life support (PALS)
- pre-hospital trauma life support (PHTLS) within 6 months of hire
- advanced trauma life support (ATLS) or equivalent trauma certification within 6 months
- advanced stroke life support (ASLS) within 6 months
- advanced burn life support (ABLS) within 6 months
- Delaware paramedic certification within 6 months
- flight paramedic certification (FP-C) or critical care paramedic certification (CCP-C) within 2 years
- FP-C required within 6 months of flight orientation
- mobile intensive care paramedic (MICP) NJ certification within 6 months
- air crew member-flight paramedic certification for flight providers
Job Duties
- provide care to critically ill and injured patients following JeffSTAT's treatment protocols and standards of care
- complete patient care records detailing patient assessment, treatments during transport, and outcomes
- provide continuous education to patients and their families regarding transport procedures and interventions
- inspect medical equipment for proper functioning and complete inventory and quality control checklists
- attend mandatory meetings, skills labs, clinical rotations, and continuing education to maintain knowledge and skills
- complete all annual recurrent competency requirements
- maintain active paramedic and required certifications
