Job Requirements
- High school diploma or currently enrolled in high school or certified G.E.D. program
- basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- effective communication skills in English
- ability to memorize menu and job routines
- compliance with health department regulations
- physical ability to stand and exert mobility for up to 6 hours
- ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds repetitively
- regular attendance
- ability to use kitchen and office equipment such as cash registers and meat slicers
- not infected with a communicable disease transmissible by food handling
Job Qualifications

- previous experience preferred but not required for current students

- ability to handle money accurately
Job Duties
- Memorize menu abbreviations and prices
- perform basic job routines
- communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
- perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- count change correctly
- handle, organize, and balance money and credit card charge slips
- prepare vegetables, fruits, and salad bar setup
- perform front line and back line setup
- operate meat slicer and other kitchen equipment
- assist in catering prep and bread preparation
- fulfill roles such as sandwich maker, expeditor, drink person, food runner, bus person, and dishwasher
