Job Requirements

  • Minimum age of 21 years old
  • knowledge of local streets and hotel location
  • able to read, speak and understand English
  • bilingual in Japanese and English
  • valid driver’s license with CDL A or B preferred
  • current and valid DOT documents including Hawaii Driver History Record, Physical Examination, Medical Clearance Card
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • ability to perform simple math functions
  • expertise in dealing with complex issues involving people and situations
  • compliance with substance abuse policy and DOT controlled substances and alcohol regulations
  • capability to promote mutual respect and workplace safety
  • ability to meet team deadlines and responsibilities

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Obtain appropriate documents to meet DOT regulations and maintain driver eligibility
  • perform duties of a driver with professionalism and courteous manner greeting customers with aloha and providing exceptional customer service
  • conduct daily pre-trip inspections and complete driver’s inspection reports
  • perform fueling and washing of company equipment when necessary
  • notify Dispatch Operations of any changes in trip route or schedule with prior authorization
  • assist passengers needing special assistance and secure wheelchairs
  • pick up and drop off passengers in an orderly and efficient manner
  • label and load luggage according to destination
  • report counts, changes, and destinations to Dispatcher
  • perform tours and transportation to and from destinations
  • keep accurate passenger counts
  • conduct post-trip inspections
  • fill out vehicle accident reports and follow company policies in case of accidents
  • complete trip sheets and turn in paperwork
  • maintain cleanliness and presentation of vehicle and uniform
  • perform other related duties as assigned or requested
