Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of janitorial supervisory experience
  • Direct floor care oversight experience
  • Strong knowledge of floor care procedures and equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must pass background check and meet client security requirements
  • Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must follow safety protocols

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of janitorial supervisory experience with direct floor care oversight in a large, high-traffic environment such as a convention center, airport, or stadium
  • Strong working knowledge of floor care procedures, products, and machinery including terrazzo, carpet, tile, and VCT surfaces
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate teams across janitorial and specialty floor care functions
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and quality control skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Able to perform hands-on cleaning and floor work when required

Job Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate a team of 10-15 3rd-shift janitors and floor care technicians, ensuring full coverage and optimal performance during events and high-traffic periods
  • Provide expert instruction and hands-on training in floor care techniques including burnishing, stripping, waxing, carpet extraction, and terrazzo maintenance
  • Train staff on cleaning protocols, chemical usage, and equipment operation (auto scrubbers, carpet extractors, high-speed buffers, etc.), ensuring adherence to safety and client standards
  • Develop and maintain detailed nightly cleaning schedules, prioritizing floor care tasks based on event activity and foot traffic
  • Conduct routine inspections to verify quality, correct deficiencies, and maintain consistent appearance standards throughout the facility
  • Submit daily shift reports to the Site Manager summarizing staffing, attendance, completed tasks, and any incidents or client concerns
  • Support Site Manager in implementing best practices for janitorial and floor care operations to meet and exceed contract deliverables
  • Maintain accurate inventory of cleaning chemicals, floor care supplies, and equipment
  • Respond promptly to client feedback and coordinate with management to ensure satisfaction and immediate resolution of issues
