Job Requirements
- Experience in performing janitorial services
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Availability to work modified or extended work hours
- Physical strength, dexterity and coordination
- Willingness to work in weather and temperature extremes
- Commitment to maintain regular attendance
- Adherence to NYS Information Security Policy Standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- Experience in performing janitorial services
- Ability to understand and follow directions
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
Job Duties
- Dust, vacuum, scrub, wax and polish offices, kitchens, restrooms, furniture, equipment, floors, carpets, blinds, walls, light fixtures, ceilings and windows
- Remove trash
- Replenish paper supplies and soap in restrooms and kitchens
- Collect recyclable paper from cubicles, offices, printers and fax locations
- Prepare conference rooms for meetings, including setting up and moving wall partitions and furniture
- Assist with mowing and trimming lawns and hedges, removing leaves, pruning trees, exterminating pests, snow plowing, shoveling and salting of walks and parking lots
- Perform duties in emergency situations when facilities are affected by fire, severe weather or criminal acts
