Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferably in a residential or healthcare setting
  • Obtain a health clearance form from a medical provider
  • Obtain a negative tuberculosis screening
  • Valid driver's license
  • Criminal record clearance required
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed

Job Duties

  • Sanitize and clean resident rooms, office spaces, bathrooms, and common areas
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and equipment
  • Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
  • Change linens and make beds in resident rooms
  • Empty trash bins and ensure proper waste disposal
  • Clean and maintain kitchen and dining areas including appliances and surfaces
  • Launder and distribute towels and bed linens
  • Monitor and restock cleaning supplies
  • Report maintenance or repair issues
  • Follow health and safety regulations and infection control protocols
  • Assist with setting up and cleaning after program activities and events
  • Maintain effective communication with residents and staff
