Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- minimum 3 years of related cleaning or maintenance experience
- ability to obtain airport security and customs badges
- ability to pass FAA criminal background check
- flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime with short notice
- valid driver's license when required to operate airport vehicles or equipment
- physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear as job requires
Job Qualifications
- high school education or GED
- 3 years of related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to read and print simple sentences
- ability to recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers
- must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges if applicable
- must fulfill FAA criminal background checks for SIDA access
- valid driver’s license as required by airport authority
- ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime
- knowledge of cleaning solutions and use of related equipment
Job Duties
- cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces and trim
- sweeps, scrubs, waxes, mops, dry mops and polishes floors
- cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies
- dusts furniture and equipment
- polishes metalwork
- washes walls, ceilings, and woodwork
- washes windows, door panels and sills
- empties wastebaskets and cleans ashtrays
- transports trash and waste to disposal area
- replenishes bathroom supplies
- replaces light bulbs
- cleans and wipes down break room appliances
- performs other duties as assigned
