Job Requirements
- Proof of immunizations and/or willingness to receive required vaccinations if needed (e.g., flu, Hepatitis B)
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in healthcare or commercial cleaning strongly preferred
- Knowledge of infection control standards and cleaning procedures in a healthcare setting
- Ability to work independently and respond to on-call requests with short notice
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and hygiene
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks
Job Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, exam rooms, operating rooms, restrooms, waiting areas, and other clinical and non-clinical spaces
- Respond promptly to emergency cleaning requests, including biohazard spills and terminal cleaning
- Follow strict infection prevention and control protocols, including proper use of PPE and hospital-grade disinfectants
- Safely handle and dispose of medical and general waste
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and sanitizers
- Document tasks completed and report any maintenance or safety issues
- Collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to ensure cleaning needs are met efficiently and respectfully
