Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- ability to perform physical activities including lifting up to 50 lbs
- willingness to follow safety guidelines and use cleaning chemicals properly
- ability to work both full-time and part-time schedules

- ability to work independently or as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- No previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience needed for entry level
- high school diploma or GED certificate may be required

- capability to operate cleaning equipment safely

- basic knowledge of safety procedures
- ability to perform physical activities involving lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Job Duties
- Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created
- service, clean, and supply restrooms
- gather and empty trash
- clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them
- follow procedures for the safe use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, to prevent damage to floor and fixtures
- mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications
- strip, seal, finish, and polish floors
- notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems
- requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
- clean windows, glass partitions, and mirror using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees
