Job Duties

  • Monitor building security and safety by locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliances
  • Service, clean, and supply restrooms
  • Gather and empty trash
  • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
  • Follow safe procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment
  • Mix water and detergents or acids to prepare cleaning solutions
  • Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors
  • Notify managers about major repair needs or additions
  • Requisition supplies and equipment for cleaning and maintenance
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate materials
