Job Requirements
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as sweeping mopping lifting and moving furniture
- Willingness to attend periodic training and safety meetings
- Must be reliable and able to work independently
- Basic literacy and comprehension skills
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in janitorial or cleaning roles is an asset
- Ability to operate industrial cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting up to 50lbs
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow safety protocols and attend training sessions
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Job Duties
- Sweeps vacuums mops scrubs waxes and polishes floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing and buffing machines
- Dusts and washes walls cleans ceilings and dusts and polishes light fixtures using ladders when necessary
- Moves cabinets boxes furniture crates and equipment to clean areas
- Removes stains from rugs drapes walls and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions as needed
- Sweeps vacuums mops scrubs floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing machines
- Dusts and washes walls windows ledges cleans ceilings removes trash and performs heavy lifting up to 50lbs
- Applies and removes protective applications to walls floors and equipment
- Attends periodic training and safety meetings
- Empties waste baskets replaces liners and vacuums all carpeting
- Cleans glass on lobby doors and sweeps and mops tile areas
- Wipes and cleans all table tops chairs vending machines appliances sinks and counter areas in lunchrooms and break areas
- Cleans and sanitizes toilets basins and urinals in restrooms and refills dispensers
- Sweeps and mops floors with disinfectant and spot cleans walls partitions and doors
- Dusts and cleans cleared desks and surfaces of tables
- Cleans overhead vents dusts blinds polishes wood furniture and dusts high partitions and ledges
- Keeps janitor's closet neat and orderly and properly maintains equipment such as vacuums
- Performs other duties as assigned as needed
