Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in janitorial or building maintenance preferred
- Ability to operate industrial cleaning machines and equipment safely
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper handling
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual labor
- Good attention to detail and reliability
- Strong communication skills to follow instructions and work in a team environment
Job Duties
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub, wax, and polish floors using industrial cleaning equipment
- Dust and wash walls, clean ceilings, and polish light fixtures including washing and replacing blinds
- Move furniture, boxes, and equipment to clean all areas thoroughly
- Remove stains from various surfaces using chemicals and cleaning solutions
- Perform seasonal tasks such as raking leaves, removing snow, and cutting grass
- Empty waste baskets and replace liners regularly in all building areas
- Attend periodic training and safety meetings to maintain standards and safety compliance
