Job Duties
- Clean the interior of buildings, including floors, carpets, rugs, windows and walls, and general tasks
- vacuum, sweep, and mop floors including offices, rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, elevators, stairs, locker rooms, and other work areas
- clean stains from chairs and upholstered furniture
- keep furniture free of dust, lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and moldings
- empty trash cans, clean trash cans and ashtrays
- disinfect commonly used items such as desks, door handles, office tools, and phones
- clean and maintain restrooms, replenish supplies where required
- wash and clean windows and mirrors
- empty trash and recycling containers to disposal area
- clean trash and snow from sidewalks if necessary
- maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request missing materials from supervisors
- notify supervisors of unsafe conditions or maintenance needs
- maintain a cleaning chart indicating cleaned and inspected areas
- follow safety and precaution rules
- lift up to 50 pounds
- close doors at the end of the night shift
