Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous janitorial or cleaning experience
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and operating machinery
- Availability to work part-time hours (28 hours per week)
- Willingness to assist with snow removal during winter
- Ability to follow safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals responsibly
- Dependability and strong work ethic
Job Qualifications
- Proven working experience as a janitor
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
- Integrity and ability to work independently
- Strong teamwork skills
- Basic maintenance skills
Job Duties
- Work with a team to clean residential buildings, laundry rooms, health club, and pool area as directed by Facilities Manager
- Vacuum, wash windows and doors, remove junk mail, dust, sweep, and clean bathrooms
- Maintain trash dumpster area including loading trash and recycling, picking up loose trash, and placing dumpsters on the sidewalk for vendor pickup daily
- Assist with snow removal including shoveling and/or operating snow removal equipment during winter months
- Handle minor maintenance requests such as changing light bulbs, painting touch-ups, in-unit work orders, and filter changes
- Assist maintenance department with landscaping and other maintenance tasks and projects as required
- Ensure cleanliness and safety standards are consistently met throughout the property
