Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- at least 6 months of experience in commercial facilities and janitorial work desired
- knowledge of basic janitorial duties and responsibilities

- ability to attend periodic training and safety meetings
Job Duties
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub, wax and polish floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing and buffing machines
- dust and wash walls, clean ceilings and dust and polish light fixtures
- move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas
- remove stains from rugs, drapes, walls and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions
- sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow or perform other incidental seasonal tasks
- empty waste baskets and replace liners
- clean and sanitize toilets, basins and urinals
- wipe and clean table tops, chairs and vending machines
- maintain janitor’s closet neat and orderly
- ensure proper maintenance of cleaning equipment such as vacuums
