Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work flexible hours including night shifts
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Ability to perform physical tasks
- Good attendance and punctuality
- Commitment to safety and security protocols
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience is an advantage
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
- Good physical stamina and strength
- Attention to detail and reliability
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Clean interior of buildings, including floors, carpets, rugs, windows, and walls
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors in offices, rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, elevators, stairs, locker rooms, and other work areas
- Clean stains from chairs and upholstered furniture
- Keep furniture free of dust as well as lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and moldings
- Empty trash cans and clean trash cans and ashtrays
- Disinfect commonly used items such as desks, door handles, office tools, and phones
- Clean and maintain restrooms and replenish supplies
- Wash and clean windows and mirrors
- Empty trash and recycling containers to disposal area
- Clean trash and snow from sidewalks if necessary
- Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and request missing materials
- Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions or those requiring maintenance
- Maintain cleaning chart indicating cleaned and inspected areas
- Follow safety and precaution rules
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Close doors at the end of the night shift
